Wentworth Miller Will Not Appear in Resident Evil Retribution

Wentworth Miller is confirmed not to appear in the upcoming movie “Resident Evil: Retribution” due to being abducted by the Umbrella Corporation. “Resident Evil: Retribution” is the upcoming 2012 3D science-fiction action film written and directed by Paul W. S. Anderson and the fifth installment in the Resident Evil film series which is based on the Capcom survival horror series Resident Evil.

To the expectation of million fans, Milla Jovovich has unveiled various details of her upcoming sci-fi thriller "Resident Evil: Retribution" via her spoilerish tweets over the weekend. The 35-year-old Ukrainian actress announced that both Wentworth Miller and Ali Larter will not return to the upcoming installment of the video games-adapted film franchise. She states, “Chris, Claire and K-Mart get abducted by Umbrella in this one, so no [Miller] won't be in this movie”. Paul W. S. Anderson returns as writer and director while Glen McPherson serves as director of photography and Kevin Phipps as production designer. In the Twitter account, Milla Jovovich also reveals that the Las Plagas parasite taken from the fourth video game will play a part in the film.

The movie “Resident Evil: Retribution” is currently filmed in Toronto, Ontario from mid-October to December 23, 2011, marking the third time the franchise will film in Toronto.

“Resident Evil: Retribution” is currently set for release on September 14, 2012.

Resident Evil 5 is currently shooting in Toronto, Canada and scheduled to hit theaters on September 14th, 2012
